Chennai’s water level has gone done during summers. As a result, Chennai faced drought-like situation during the summer months between April and June. Water provided in trains from Vellore. Initially, the train was touted to carry out 25 lakh litres of water and make four trips per day from Vellore district. This water supply started in April and continue until October.
The water supply department said, “The situation is under control, we have sufficient underground water, there have been some rains also. The Krishna water has begun to arrive from the neighbouring, Andhra Pradesh.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister said, “We are planning to lay a pipeline for Krishna water to reduce stealing. The route of Poondi water reservoir will be changed to ensure maximum water supply.
Near the Southern Railway Headquarter and above LIC metro rail station on Anna Salai, a serpentine line live power cable passed through the road to push metro work. Thousands of people pass through that road every day, and the government can not do anything to rectify that.
Authorities can place cables underground for Anna Salai and Poonamallee High Road, but instead, they kept them unexposed. Not only human life but these cables themselves could suffer damage.
As per Officials of state power utility Tangedco, “the cable had been lying under the ground, and due to metro work they got pushed above the surface”.
Officials also mentioned,” that once they finish the work on the surface level, they will lay the cables inside”.

Dr P Dhanapalan mentioned, “Food is fermented, but material like plastic, metal and cloth remain in the rumen which leads to disease like anorexia, starvation, constipation, difficulty in breathing and the death. And then the only thing left for surgeons is to open rumen wall and remove all the foreign material from inside the animal body”.
According to the draft electoral report, Chennai has 57,97652 votes. Today onward, the list will be placed at all 15 Zonal offices and 200 ward office so that the public can view it.
As per the Greater Chennai Corporation, “The least number of voters (2,921) is from Ward No. 159 Alandur zone (zone 12), and the highest number of voters (54,801) is from Ward No. 137 Kodambakkam zone (zone 10).”
The announcement of the election date is still pending. Total 5,714 polling booths will set up by the government for the local body election all the security measures should take into consideration as the number of voters is enormous.
And Chennai government is expecting colossal participation this year.

A report released on Wednesday stated tht three of the Major Railway Stations in Chennai failed the cleanliness test.
Last year Southern Railway Zone secured seventh position and this year it has slipped down to twelve as all the major stations failed to reach in top 50 rankings. Central ranked at 58, which was at 36th position in 2018, Egmore is at 149, which was at 27 in 2018 and Tambaram at 321 from 62 in 2018.
Government is spending crores on sanitation, but Railway cleans these stations annually during Swachh campaigns, said, passenger.

After an extended visit to the US, Prime minister Narendra Modi visited IIT Madras for the convocation ceremony. He praises the Tamil language and says it echoes across the United States.
During UN speech in the US, PM Modi mentioned the beauty of the diversity of the Indian language. He referred Tamil as ancient language as well.
He greeted the people of Madras with "Vanakkam" at Chennai airport. It was his first visit to Madras after election 2019.

The national broadcaster Doordarshan failed to telecast the Narendra Modi's speech at IIT Madras in Chennai. It created an issue due to which the assistant director of Doordarshan in Chennai has been suspended owing to disciplinary litigation against her.
The official order published against R Vasumathi has not specified the reason but announces her suspension on October 1.
Shashi Shekhar Vempati, Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharti, has signed this order of suspension.
As per the reports, she has got suspended after failing of live telecast of PM Modi's speech at the Singapore India Hackathon 2019.
