Indore girl to be booked for filing false gang rape case.
The Indore police have decided to book a girl for allegedly filing a false case of gang rape, kidnapping and attempted murder after an investigation revealed that the charges were false.
Harinarayan Chari Mishra, IGP, Indore, said "A case will be filed under section 182/211 against the girl after man investigation by the police revealed that these claims were false."
"The footage of more than 150 CCTV was checked and scientific evidence along the railway tracks from Pardeshipura to Banganga was collected during the probe. The police found that the claims made by the girl were baseless and inconsistent," he told the media.
On Tuesday night, the girl had told the police she was kidnapped by two men and gang-raped by them and three others. Then, they stabbed her, put her in a jute bag, and threw her on a railway track.
Pardeshipura police had registered cases of kidnapping, gang-rape, and attempt to murder in this connection following the complaint.
1,40,000 doses of Covishield received for Indore-Ujjain division
The second batch of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield with 1,40,000 doses have been received for the Indore-Ujjain division of Madhya Pradesh, an official said on Wednesday.
Ashok Dagaria, Joint Director Health, Indore said: "Of the 1,40,000 doses, 89,000 doses are to be kept for 8 districts of Indore division and remaining 51,000 doses of vaccines will be sent to 7 districts of Ujjain division."
Amit Malakar, Nodal Officer of Indore said, "A total of 27,000 doses have been provided to the district health administration."
Earlier, 1,52,000 doses of Covishield were received for the Indore Ujjain division of which 33,490 doses were given to the Indore district.
According to officials, a total of 1300 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last three days.
In Indore, five hospitals have been designated for vaccination drive. These include government hospitals--MY Hospital, and ESIC Hospital while private hospitals include Sri Aurobindo Hospital, Raj Shree Apollo Hospital and Bombay Hospital.
Those who are to be vaccinated first are officers and employees of the District Health Department.
Billed as the world's largest vaccination program, covering the entire length and breadth of the country, the COVID-19 vaccination drive which began on January 16 aims to first vaccinate millions of its healthcare and frontline workers and reach an estimated 3 crore people by the end of its first phase.
The central government has introduced an application named CoWIN (Covid Vaccine Intelligence Work) to monitor the entire vaccination process.
Two vaccines--Covaxin and Covishield-- have received Emergency Use Authorisation (EAU) after going through established safety and immunogenicity in a well-prescribed regulatory process and these will be administered during the vaccination drive. (ANI)
3,000 investors across MP ready to do business in MSME clusters.
INDORE: The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department has received as many as 3,000 proposals from investors from across Madhya Pradesh for setting up new facilities or expanding existing operations.
Besides shortlisted proposals, about 2,000 applications from entrepreneurs are in the pipeline.
The proposed clusters, the MSME department has identified a few chunks of land in Indore region suitable as per the requirement for furniture and toy clusters, while other areas are also being explored for rest of the proposed clusters in the region. “Clusters will help local industries to meet the competitiveness and pricing of China and reduce our dependence on Chinese products. We have collected feedback from potential investors and offering land and facilities to create manufacturing hub,” said Sakhlech

Namkeen Misthan Nirmata Evam Vikreta Kalyan Sangh, Madhya Pradesh secretary Anurag Bothra said, “We have submitted a proposal to the department for locating around 100 acre for the proposed namkeen cluster. Around 25 industries have already given their consent to set up facilities in the proposed cluster while we are in talks with other big players to aid small local units.
Sunil Gureja, managing director at a candy toy manufacturing unit said, “The department showed us a piece of land at Depalpur for the proposed toy cluster but that did not suit our requirement. We are hoping the government will soon finalise land and policy matters to set up the facility.

The Coca-Cola Co. said Thursday it's laying off 2,200 workers, or 17% of its global workforce, as part of a larger restructuring aimed at paring down its business units and brands.
The Atlanta-based company said around half of the layoffs will occur in the US, where Coke employs around 10,400 people. Coke employed 86,200 people worldwide at the end of 2019
