EMBRACING THE UNKNOWN
Let’s talk about Covid 19. I know we are all tired of hearing this one thing that’s revolving each day and we are trying very hard to get rid of it.isnt it?? Are we still going to talk about this Covid 19? Yes we are! I’m quiet sure that we have come across all the preventive measures like staying home, proper hand washing ,social distancing and so on. We are informed about the symptoms of covid 19 and advised to reach out for help accordingly. All these information are being bombarded at us by every Facebook post, Instagram stories, and tweets from government officials and so on.
But did someone tell you the storm that it brings inside your hardware i.e. your mind. Do we know how to embrace the situation of untouchability defined as ‘safety’ while we all read in our childhood textbooks quoting “untouchability is a SIN”. This is the new normal friends. This doesn’t mean we stop caring about our loved ones NO not just our loved ones, we need to care for everyone whom we come across. Do we feel it is big burden for us to do so NO it ain’t. The burden lies when a mother knows she has contracted Covid 19 so she can’t grab her child. The burden lies when you are unable to have a funeral arranged for a best friend who passed away being a victim to this virus. The burden lies on every health care worker when they return back home in fear and anxiety thinking if they are going to be carriers of the disease passing it on to their family. The burden hugely rests upon the one who has been sick, isolated (kept aside) from the rest of the world. Brace yourself, you are warrior! tell yourself this as much as you want to know it and feel it and be it. Because I totally believe every doctor goes out to his patient and tells this loud enough so they believe it. Do we know why? Is it a magic spell? Are Doctors God’s to heal us by their words? Because ‘Words Matter’ and they have enormous power so when we tell it to the patient who is battling this Covid 19 he doesn’t give UP instead he gives IN to be a winner. I would like to quote a phrase from The Holy Bible “let your Words be seasoned with Grace” Going back to our question how to we handle the storm inside our head. Embrace the unknown with confidence and proclaim words that heal. Your words matter to a crying friend, a sick grandfather, an exhausted doctor who has few more hours of his shift. Let this sink deep inside us. Your Words matter use them Righty! Let’s stay connected and win this battle together.
