Bangalore: Havildar Anuj Kumar Taliyan won the gold medal in the 11th world bodybuilding championship 2019 held at Jeju Island, South Korea by adding another feather to the cap of the Madras Engineer Group (MEG) of the Indian Army.
Havildar Anuj Kumar Taliyan won the gold medal in the 100 plus category, in the Championship that concluded Monday.
Bangalore Defence PRO, Havildar Kumar joined Madras Sappers in 2010. The bodybuilder clinched gold in the 100 plus category during the senior National BodyBuilding Championship 2018 held at Pune in March.
The win in the national championship made Havildar Anuj Kumar Taliyan qualify for the world bodybuilding championship, held from November 5 to 11 in South Korea, the statement said.
Havildar Anuj Kumar Taliyan said I had won the gold medal with my hard work and dedication throughout 8 years.
Bangalore: Following few hours of heavy rainfall on Saturday. The KR market was waterlogged and on Sunday when visitor steeples out to buy their daily needs at the KR market, they have a tough time parking their vehicles in the basement which was waterlogged after heavy rain on Saturday.
Visitors who came in KR market said that Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara palike BBMP failed to maintain the free parking slot, despite of paying parking fees.
Visitors said that the parking fee for four-wheelers is Rs 30, it is Rs 10 for two-wheelers.
KR market basement parking slot can occupy about 800 vehicles.
Many people who are regularly visiting the KR market, complaint that every time it rains heavily, the parking area gets flooded.
Ravi P, who is a regular visitor at the KR market, said" There should be two sumps in working condition in the basement parking area to drain the water out when it rains and the area gets flooded. On Saturday, it started raining at 10 pm. They should have started draining the water out with the sumps at night itself but they did not do so, I was at the market around 1 pm on Sunday and the area was still waterlogged".

Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya said," The mobility hub will encourage citizens to use public transport, reducing the traffic congestion in the city".
Surya said that the project will be jointly executed by the BMRCL, BBMP, and BMTC. Tejasvi Surya also asked the officers to ensure the skywalk is differently-abled friendly.
Bangalore: Due to heavy rainfall on Saturday , Hosakere lake bund breached and water entered the houses of some residents in Pushpagiri Nagar. Around 5-6 families were affected because of the breached. The BBMP commissioner is blaming Bangalore development authority for this incident.
Ward committee member Sadashiv said that he had a complaint about the week lake bund to the BBMP authorities but no action was taken.
He said the Bangalore water supply and sewerage board engineer had laid underground drainage pipes four years ago that might have weakened it.
Residents blamed BBMP, BWSSB, and BDA and said that these government organizations were involved in the rejuvenation of the lake. The ward corporation had promised that the lake bund work would be completed until Sunday. He was informed about the situation at midnight and accordingly, he send the BDA official on the spot.
Bangalore: At Hessarghatta's main road-mobile showroom shop, a woman gang of 7-8 lady entered the showroom and stolen four mobile phones by distracting and managing the employees.
The matter disclosed when the employees went through the CCTV footage. The employee Dilip Nagaraju lodge the complaint in the city police station on Thursday. He stated that the matter took place on Wednesday afternoon around 2 pm when the group of ladies entered the showroom and told to show mobile phones and a few of them were busy checking the new mobile phones. The girl with them stolen 4 mobile phones which were seen later in CCTV footage.
The woman gang included a ten-year-old girl child who was trained to steal mobile. As per CCTV footage, the girl looked for cash in the cash counter but she didn't find any amount in it, so she stole 4 new mobile phones worth Rs 95000 each and hid it in the bag which she carried with her.
Police are searching for the woman gang with children across the city.
Bangalore: Seven young boys, scaring the wits out of passersby and uploading the videos. police finally brought their fun to end on Monday. The accused identified as Shawn Malik 20, Usaf Ahamad, Sakeeb, Saheel Mohammed 21, Naveed 20, Mohammed Aqyub 20, Sayeed Nabil 20.
Police feel the group was inspired by online scary prank videos and so the group of youngsters was scaring the people in and around the Yeshwanthpur area. The men have been held for creating a nuisance.
Police held the youngster's group for spreading rumors and fear of ghosts on the roads by chasing after passersby and motorists in spooky makeup and clothes.
All the youngsters belong to the RT Nagar and Nagawara. The group of accused has their own YouTube channel, so they make and upload such prank videos and upload them on their channel and their website.
Bangalore: From 14 November (Thursday) to 17 November (Sunday) the work of launching viaduct superstructure across the operational Greenline, on the south of RV Road Metro Station, services between RV Road and Yelachenahalli on the Greenline will be suspended for facilitating New Metro line construction work to Bommasandra.
BMRCL chief public Relations officer B L Yasgasvanth Chavan in his statement said," This work is part of the development of RV Road Metro Station as an interchange between the present Greenline and the under-construction Electronics City Metro corridor.
Normal train services between Nagasandra and Yelachenahalli will be resumed from 5 am on November 18 and from R V Road and Yelachenahalli Metro station free bus services will be provided for the convenience of the passengers.as said by BMRCL officials.
Banglore: The CCB sleuths recovered 12 grams of cocaine and held the Nigerian national for selling cocaine.
The accused has been identified as Maluka Chukwuka Muolokwu alias Miracle Chukwuka alias Henry 38, a resident of Banaswadi. The accused was selling drugs like cocaine to abroad students, it was alleged that the accused have come to this country on a student visa.
From the arrested accused police also recovered Rs 10,200 in cash along with five mobile phones.
The police have recovered the passport and visa of Maluka Chukwuka Muolokwu alias Miracle Chukwuka alias Henry to investigate the matter in more detail.
The case was filed by the CCB Sleuths in the Banaswadi police station.
Bangalore: On Sunday midnight, members of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara palike BBMP wildlife team rescued a 12foot long python from Hemmigepura ward in Rajrajeshwari Nagar.
The python swallowed the dog as seen by eyewitness Prasasana Kumar, a member of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara palike wildlife team. The python was found near the vacant site of the compound wall at Hemmigepura.
Earlier in the year 2016, a 10 foot long Indian Rock Python was rescued from Kadugodi.
As wardens wanted permission to release the 12foot long python into Turhalli reserve forest, the rescue team brought the python to the BBMP head office.
Warden of Deputy wildlife Ranganatha Swamy and BBMP Deputy conservator of Forest and Deputy wildlife stated that they have made all the arrangements to release the python into the Turhalli reserve forest.
On Monday the python was released into the Turhalli reserve forest at 3.30 pm.
Bangalore: Now time required for traveling between Bangalore and Mysuru will be cut down to thirty minutes.Special thanks to southwestern Railway for bringing down the running time of 11 premier trains between the two cities by up to 30 minutes. The procedure will be completed by November.Six trains from Mysore to Bangalore and five trains from Bangalore to Mysore.
Aparna Garg, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysore said we are also thinking of bringing down the running time of Chennai superfast Express, and after rationalizing availability of platform at Bangalore.
"This new change will be helpful for passengers. Bangalore -Mysore congestion will be reduced by cutting train time as more people will choose a train instead of traveling between Mysore to Bangalore and vice-versa." as said by, Ramanath Shetty, a marketing executive who frequently travels on this route.
