Are Electric Cars Viable?
- Published on October 4, 2020
It's been a while since I wrote an article but this time , instead of writing about space or whatever stuff that's been happening out of our world , we should try to talk about things that could save our planet , because remember we don't have a planet 'B'.
We are seeing how this noval coronavirus has caused such a disaster and have created a fear beneath us. Talking about the virus , human beings can not do anything about until the cure , so why not us contribute our planet in some other way.
Anyways lets get right into the topic , so the first thing that comes upon my mind is pollution , In the recent years car companies like tesla , ford , nissan and many more companies have taken up the plan of building electric cars , especially elon musk who wants to do the mass production of electric cars and is selecting the highly populated countries for it like the U.S., India and China .
They claim that electric cars could be a more feasible or a more viable option than the normal gasoline cars . To attract the consumers like us they tell us that by replacing our normal gasoline cars with their high tech electric vehicles commonly named as (EV) is gonna contribute in controlling the pollution and hence making our lives better.
Well to an extent they might be right but electricity is not always manufactured from straight up renewable resources but they also use up the fossil fuels . So if they are using the fossil fuels , indirectly we are polluting our environment. There are many other disadvantages of owning an electric vehicle right now .
Charging stations aren't available everywhere- Just imagine you go to the countryside for a vacation you would seriously end up finding no electric charging stations . As of now we have a limited amount of electric charge stations so it would we very risky to get your ride to countryside.
Talking of risk congratulations we have another- Average electric car have a range of 50-100 miles so if you are insane enough then only you would take your EV out of city.
If you are lucky enough to find enough electric stations in the place you are going for vacation , don't consider yourself too lucky cause it heaps of time to charge .
Now there are very less options to choose from , so that means you wouldn't get a lot of choice . They are even about $10,000 to $20000 expensive than the car that runs on gas.
By these points we can say that atleast now this technology needs a lot of improvements to overcome its disadvantages. Once it overcomes these advantages it would become a great choice for the people but as of now i would not recommend you to buy an electric vehicle .
*All the readers are free to ask about any topic in the comment section of the post i would try my best to extract every information from that topic .
Wormholes--Breaking Space and Time
What is a wormhole?
Wormhole is a speculative structure linking disparate points in space time and is based on the solution of Einstein field equation . If you saw a wormhole in reality, it would appear round and spherical just like the black hole which we just talked about in the previous article , so lets just dive right into it.
When people got some knowledge that something like space existed they thought it would be just a black empty void or space where the cosmic activities take place .
But Einstein's "Theory Of Relativity" busted all the previous concepts and laws about space . Einstein's Theory Of Relativity stated that that space and time binds each other and its flexible in nature . Flexible enough to get even torn and even patched by itself , just like a cloth which gets torn but the unusual thing about this is that it gets patched by itself . It also stated that space and time is not same everywhere its different at different points.
We can see here how one planet or a star applies tones of forces on the space fabric to get it stretched and torn away and lead to the formation of wormhole.
Before we come to the wormholes , I want you tell one more thing about how people really speculated space to be , they thought that space was rigid or hard like a rock and objects like planets stars just lie on them but then Einstein changed the views of people by his laws that space is like water bed more like a trampoline like structure where the planets compress the fabric .
You might be wondering why I am just talking about space all this time but just to give you the idea what space actually is I had to refer it.
Without taking much of your time wormhole is a bridge like structure which connects to parts of the fabric of space and creates like a portal like thing through which objects could travel at the speed faster than light . It just takes up the two distant points from the folded space and time fabric where it forms the bridge hence forms the wormhole where you could travel from one universe to another faster than light .
You might be wondering do these weird things actually exist and why many of you haven not heard or seen any picture of the actual wormhole , because it just exist only on paper according to Einstein these things might exist considering space to be a fabric.
Imagine yourself to be an astronaut and you are on the verge of entering a wormhole so these series of things you might experience . You would feel like you are being stretched by a force which would just grab you and put you in a infinite loop where you would be just travelling through it and would eventually die due to the lack of supply of oxygen or if you had loads of oxygen you would die as you grow older and die a natural death.
One more possibility is that you might be stretched the same like before but you would be transferred to a universe where it would look similar to ours but everything will be backwards even the time will be backwards. So you can just take an example of the mirror , its just the same phenomena it is based on . It seems very interesting but the chances of getting such type of wormhole is very less. For the present us it is even impossible to find a wormhole even .
Talking about the mirror universe the part of the worm hole there would act like a white hole which would be just throwing out all the things collected from the black hole in our universe . So you might experience a similar experience of a vacuum cleaner sucking things and throwing it into the trash bag which is connected to it.
Now we have come to an end on today's article , as it is a vast topic I don't want you to get bored. Next article i would discuss the types of wormholes which would be very exciting. So stay tuned .
To Be Continued............................................................................................................
Black holes have been the strangest things existing in the world , there is no scientific reason for their existence , but they do...
In simpler words a black hole is a region of space-time where the the gravity is violently strong , so one expects the symmetries to be broken .
You might be wondering how this thing was even born ?
Well their is a scientific explanation for this , in cores of the stars the nuclear fusion crushes hydrogen atoms into helium releasing tremendous amount of heat . This heat keeps the balance between the two forces gravity and the radiation which keeps the star stable .
But in the supermassive stars which are much larger than our own sun , the fusion fails to keep the stability in the star . So iron being the inner most layer of a star expands and starts eating up the mass around it and comes to the point where a supernova explosion occurs eradicating the star , If the star was lucky enough to be a supernova star it would collapse into a Black Hole weighing thousands of tons or if it was small enough it would then collapse into a neutron star. You might be thinking that the star was ambitious enough to become a black hole but it really depends upon the size and mass of the star. Greater is the size and mass of the star the greater is its probability to become a black hole.
Last year NASA spotted a black hole a few light years away from our planet Earth where they could only see the event horizon which reflects light . You should be travelling at least at the speed of light to cross the event horizon . The dark part of black hole which scientist call a "singularity" actually is till a mystery . No one knows what it is , but some say it is a point where the area is infinitely dense and contains no mass or volume , seems a bit impossible according to our physics laws but it does exist. Well an unusual phenomenon was even captured by NASA on 2019 where the black hole sucks the planet where its travelling into streams of gas revolving around the black hole similar to the Saturn ring for reference. For further explanation of how the event horizon looked like their is a video link clipped below --
We still are not done talking about the event horizon yet , for instance consider the saturn ring that is how the event horizon actually looks like .
There exist a black hole which mass is 40 billion times the sun and diameter 47 times the distance between our sun and pluto , so by this you can assume how big the black hole actually is , well for the name scientist gave it S5 0014+81 the name seems complicated but its structure is even way complicated than its name.
As we know the singularity of the black hole contains no matter but secretly there is some kind of virtual matter or particles which collides and become real particles so in that case the black hole is losing its energy , as we consider S5 0014+81 it would be out of energy after millions of years when our universe would be inhabitable . So do not expect yourself seeing its endgame , but if we would be lucky and intelligent enough to escape our universe we would be able to see , but it would be just impossible for us do it in today's scenario , unless we get some cool high technology in future , who knows .
According to Stephen Hawking if you fall into a black hole you would either be stretched like a noodle , as it would rip your body cells apart or you would just be burnt to death with the firewall system of the black hole. Remember once you enter the event horizon of the black hole their is no way you can return you would be seeing the past and the future of the universe and would be ripped to death .
So even if you uncover the secrets of the universe by seeing the past and the future of the universe their would be no know one you can tell about it. So it is kind of scary to get into one and even find one. No one would be stupid enough to enter a black hole but if you want to experience it go ahead .
Black holes are capable enough to delete our universe , yes it is possible when a black hole dies after millions of years it might delete some parts of our universe . You might think you have destroyed something you might be correct but its information remains same . For instance if you burn a paper into ash you would think you have destroyed it but if you carefully examine each carbon atom of the ash it would contain same information as the paper and by arranging the carbon atoms in same order you would be able to reconstruct a paper.
So next time you destroy something keep in mind the information remains as it can be converted from one form to another just like energy . By information we mean by the carbon atoms and we know that they are indestructible.
You would change the form , shape or nature of the substance but the information or the carbon atoms remains the same . So in case of black hole when it dies it it deletes the information that is the carbon atoms which causes the "information paradox" .
After this thing you would see all the science we have learnt all our life is rubbish , well by finding out this thing scientists also felt the same thing so we area not the only one.
If the paradox becomes true we would be just deleting or erasing all the physics laws from our minds which we have made them all these years. This would be sad and even exciting. Or maybe the black hole creates a baby universe inside itself where it would store all the lost information which we would not be able to access. So basically it becomes useless , no one knows what actually the truth is , but scientists are really working hard to find it.
I think my informal article gave some knowledge to my readers reading my article , I would get back with another article very soon so stay tuned.
