The usual caveat — that many of deals haven’t yet closed, and that their terms could change or the talks may not materialize into an investment — applies in our reporting. The deals described below have not been previously reported.
TS Darbari further adds that the frantic pace of investments in early-stage deals come as many of the more mature bets have become unicorns in India and many established startups are finally exploring taking the public markets.
India has given birth to almost 14 unicorns within last two years, up from 11 last year and just 6 in 2019. High-profile investors such as Tiger Global and Falcon Edge Capital have increased their focus on India this year and winning founders with their large size of checks, higher valuation, access to resources, and quick turnaround time.

1. Get Enough Sleep

There isn’t any easy way around that. It’s all about how we respond to the situation. Breathing is a sure way to get your blood flowing and those great ideas circulating. It will calm your racing heart and help clear your head so that you can use this time to do what’s best for yourself and your students.
3. Take Proper Breaks
TS Darbari says that we are technically working during these digital learning days, however, you’re at home and in your pjs (you better be in that PJs). If you need to, take breaks! This is one benefit of us not being in the office for consecutive hours. Think of this as a time of freedom. Take lunch breaks, snack breaks, and go to the bathroom whenever you want! Oh, the glories of working from home! When we are in office mode, we tend to forget that we are humans. Listen to your body and follow its directions. If you know you need a break, take it, you deserve it!
4. Give Yourself Grace
This is new for a lot of employees. Many of us are not used to working online. TS Darbari says that you are not alone, a lot of people are going through the same phase. Give yourself grace. We aren’t going to be perfect. Maybe by week 3, we will have a handle on this. Until then, we have to accept the roadblocks that may come along the way, maybe even laugh about it at times. 5. Enjoy the Small Things
Take this time to enjoy being at home with your family. Take your laptop into the bathroom and take a long bubble bath in the middle of the day, just because you can. FaceTime a friend and love on your pets. In a time like this, enjoying the small things we tend to look over is what’s most important.

Set goals. When you set a goal, you make a decision to act in a way that will help you achieve what you want. Goals give you a direction to focus on – one that’s measurable and has an endpoint. This can help you to stay motivated.
Choose goals that interest you. You’re much more likely to stay motivated if you’re working towards something that you genuinely want to do or achieve, rather than what other people want for you.
Find things that interest you within goals that don’t. Sometimes other people set goals or tasks for us that we don’t find interesting or want to do. So, try and find something within that task that does motivate you. For example: ‘I find maths challenging, but it’s going to help me become a builder, which I want more than anything.’
Make your goal public. If you tell someone – or write down – your goal, you’ve essentially made a promise to keep your word.
Plot your progress. When you’re working towards something, it can be really motivating if you can see evidence that you’re making progress. Draw or create a visual representation of how you’re coming closer to achieving the goal you’ve set yourself.
Break up your goal. Start with easier tasks and work your way up to bigger challenges. Breaking up a task in your mind into achievable chunks helps build confidence.
Use rewards. Promise yourself some sort of reward each time you complete a step/task.
Don’t do it alone. Join a class, or find a teacher or someone you can share the experience with. Other people’s encouragement to keep going can be a big boost to your motivation, particularly when you’re doing it tough.
If you’re really finding it hard
If you’ve tried but failed to get motivated, then it might help to talk it through with someone you trust. Sometimes it can be hard to achieve things on your own, so having a good support network may help when you’ve taken on a big challenge.

Building on these broad views of the sectors and occupations at risk, governments can develop a granular view of the jobs that are vulnerable, both by industry and service and by occupation.

TS Darbari Comments on Rising COVID Cases in India
TS Darbari Blog: India reported well over 2 lakh Covid-19 cases for the second consecutive day on Friday. With 217,353 cases, India reported the highest single-day spike since the pandemic broke out. Notably, this single-day spike comes a day after 200,739 Covid-19 cases were registered on Thursday.
TS Darbari says that the second wave of the pandemic is far more perilous than the first one. TS Darbari further adds that the curve of Covid-19 cases and mobility trends will have a direct bearing on the level of economic activity. India’s GDP went down by 24.4% in the quarter ending June 2020.
According to the second advance estimates, 2020-21 is expected to suffer a GDP contraction of 7.96%. The 2021-22 Budget projected a nominal GDP growth of 14.4% for the year. In its latest meeting, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of RBI, had the following to say about the growth outlook of the Indian economy, “the projection of real GDP growth for 2021-22 is retained at 10.5 per cent consisting of 26.2 per cent in Q1, 8.3 per cent in Q2, 5.4 per cent in Q3 and 6.2 per cent in Q4”.

TS Darbari also adds that India is the second country to report more than 2 lakh new cases in a day. The only country to have recorded a higher number of cases in a single day was the US, which had registered 3.09 lakh cases on January 8 of this year.
After registering 2 lakh cases for two days in a row, India’s Covid tally now stands at 15.7 lakh. Last week India replaced Brazil as the 2nd worst-hit nation in terms of total Covid-19 cases.
On Friday, India reported 1185 Covid induced deaths making it the highest death count ever registered in India excluding June 17, 2020, when India reported 2003 deaths due to data reconciliation.
TS Darbari says that on March 16, 2021, India had registered roughly 28k cases which have gone up manifold in a matter of a month, according to several reports.
The five most affected states due to covid-19 are Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. The number of covid cases was reported from Maharashtra, 61.7k cases followed by Delhi 16,699.
Meanwhile, Delhi overtook Mumbai to become the most affected city in the country by the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of the daily Covid-19 tally. In view of the unabated rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the Union Home Ministry Thursday said its officers can work from home and only 50 percent of staff need to attend office.
Delhi is also set to observe a weekend lockdown to break the chain of transmission as it tackles a steep rise in Covid cases, announced CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday.
As per sources, 6 states/UTs have reported more than 10k new Covid cases while 4 states/UTs have registered more than 100 new deaths.
Till now, 10.23 crore people have received the 1st covid dose while 1.49 crore has received both doses. The recovery rate is below 90% in 17 states/UTs, the lowest being in Chhattisgarh at 74.6%.
The US remains the worst-hit country with 32,223,714, followed by India, Brazil, France, and Russia. However, in terms of the total number of active cases, the US tops the charts, followed by India, Brazil, France, and Russia.
