How to convert an epidemic crisis into an opportunity. Well when we have no choice, the only choice remains is the reality and then we learn the reality is rather very beautiful !
We have seen people turning from bad to good and good to better in such times of lockdown. There is no race, no competition, no hurry of things, no targets to achieve, no destination to reach, no train or flight to catch. The time has just stood still. Those who are in worry, they are living in some unreal world. The worry is illusionary, for there is nothing that they can do to overcome this crisis. If they cant escape it, they must enjoy it. They need to go with the flow and rest the matter with the almighty and the authorities. The growth of business, education and many such things was for all. Similarly, the degrowth and the halt of these things is also for everybody. So we all will have to make a restart and rebuild many things. Its a challenge, rather its an opportunity ! In the mean time why not strengthen our other side of life and try to bring growth in such areas. There are many people who are already utilising this free time in building their broken or not so strong relationships with their dear ones, some are persuing their hobbies and passion, doing home gym and workouts. Many of us are exploring new avenues in work and business which were unseen during our so called busy schedules as many of us were moving towards just one given direction. There has been a discovery of events, a discovery of people and discovery of so many things in this period of closure. We have discovered the value of money, value of food, value of family, value of having our own homes, value of our governments. So many values to learn..! Isnt that worth enough.? The times have taught us to remain at homes and enjoying so many things without going to fancy places, malls, restaurants and to foreign countries. Who knows, this lockdown may have come as a blessing in disguise for all of us as a nation, surely not to forget the huge monetary losses that many of us and the government has to suffer and the poor struggling for their basics. But who knows even this may be a beginning and rise of something new thats a better deal than our past lives and also an end to the mediocre life that many were living. Monetary and economy loss is temporary if something bigger is in the offing. There are some other aspects which are far more important than money and that is the happiness and the satisfaction index.!
The ordeal for some is painful but the larger picture can be beautiful. This is an extraordinary scenario. Nobody living today has seen such times in our country and the world. There will be 2 eras. Pre 15th March and post 15th April, and i m hopeful to see the post lockdown era will be much more brightful in terms of many things first being health and hygeine, cleanliness of self and our sorroundings, caring and valuing relationships/ friendships, ethical practices in workplaces, having empathy towards the poor and the helpless, giving priorities to the important things and many more. Let us make this lockdown our weapon for creations. There is a good side to every bad side.!
Praying and hoping a speedy recovery from this pandemic and looking forward to a new beginning of hope, wisdom and prosperity !
