I shoot because I see. I shoot because if I don’t, I don’t know who will. Activism is seen as a dirty word. I shoot because I find peace in being especially active, and being a vigorous advocate for a cause.
How does one define what a “cause” is? According to Webster, it is “a person or thing that acts, happens, or exists in such a way that some specific thing happens as a result; the producer of an effect.”
I wish that every image I photograph reexamines and redefines the image of the black man, the black woman, and the black child. My photography is first and foremost a catalyst or reason to motive human action. Every picture I take asks the questions, “Who am I and what is my role here on this earth?” It is my way of seeing. It is my way of saying this is another way of seeing me.

Crazy Quarantine
As I am the student I was delightful at the last day of our board exams. Who wouldn't be? After a yearlong preparation, I feit free. Any student would have felt the sense of happiness at that time. All year long, students were pressurized to study, and that made us busy just like the adults. Even if we desire to learn something new, or acquire a hobby, our inexplicably busy schedule and pressure as a student inevitably crumbled our desire. After the final exam, I had the perfect amount of time and resources to do many drawings learn many songs, acquire hobbies and simply enjoying myself. The thought of finally being free of studies, even for a short period of time, made my heart flutter. As many days passed, each day filled with curiosity, passion and activeness, I experienced boredom after a long time. Now, all I wanted was a taste of being busy all over again and eagerly waited for my school to reopen and start my new session. Lo and behold! The world was dying out of this killer virus, and there was going to be lockdown which cancelled all my plans. I was both furious and sad. Now, even my parents were forced to stay at home. We all were stuck in our home, seeking entertainment. As an avid book reader, I had decided to read many books throughout the vacation, but now even books were hard to find now. I started downloading e.books, which helped for a short period of time. Though, everything has a limit. I was getting seriously bored from reading all day long. I was waiting something to quench my thirst for entertainment. Usually, I didn't used to play with my brother, who had a passion to break rules. But one day, as we had nothing to do, we played together after many days. The feeling was special, as if I am a little girl all over again. This experience was like a rain in the desert. Now that my parents were tree from work, we decided to play some games, which helped us discover each other's latent personalities and talents. My father, a serious and honest person, reflected his childish behavior while playing ludo and cheating in it! My mother, an introvert type of a person, was actually pretty good in cricket! The lockdown was a gateway to the happiness which I was searching for during these complex conditions. Whatever the condition is right now, I have finally learnt to bring happiness through these dark times, not only by spending time with my family, but also spending time with me, myself.

Successful people!
Successful people aim for long run, think only about self satisfaction.
These people don't work for money but money work for them.
People who are bound to achieve great things recognize this, and they’re willing to take it slow but steady to win the race. Patience allows them to persist even in the face of adversity because they have the foresight to learn from mistakes and see that they will pay off in the future. Being patient isn’t always fun. It can be challenging. But in the long run, you’ll be rewarded with longevity and steadiness in your career if you can cultivate the trait of patience.

Foto: Kiwi Si gjerne din mening i avstemningen før du leser videre, artikkelen fortsetter under.
