Prashant Kishore's Slogan To Win AAP Again, 'Ache Beete 5 Saal…’
Arvind Kejriwal's ruling AAP has started its campaign for the assembly elections in Delhi next year, with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia saying that the AAP government will take its "report card" to the people next week. Sisodia also exuded confidence that "the public has voted us for the good that we have done." The party also revealed its official slogan - 'Ache beete 5 saal, Lage Raho Kejriwal' (Five years have been good, keep going with Kejriwal) - in today's program. AAP won 67 out of 70 seats in the last election, will fight the battle with the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), a consultancy firm of master strategist Prashant Kishore, widely credited for the "Chi Parocha" campaign, Which helped BJP come to power in 2014. The I-PAC is also working with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), a key ally of the BJP and a member of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Center. Shri Kishore is also a senior JDU official. There is a public outcry over the controversial new Citizenship Amendment Act, between Kishore and JDU. Kishore, whose wife is Assamese, has been highly critical of the CAA, which was pushed through Parliament by Union Home Minister Amit Shah last week. His remarks provoked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to issue a sharp notice through one of his ministers: "I will not name anyone, but if anyone has a problem, he is free to leave the party," JDU MP Ramchandra Prasad Singh said. Meanwhile, at today's event, AAP leaders expressed confidence that the people of Delhi would vote for them once again. For the next two days, there will be a march in 70 constituencies of Delhi.
