Inflation in Delhi-NCR, Mother Dairy, and Amul increase milk prices
People of Delhi-NCR have been hit by inflation. Milk prices have increased since today. Mother Dairy has raised prices by up to Rs 3, drastically increasing milk prices. The new rates come into effect from today. Let us tell you that Mother Dairy supplies 30 lakh liters of milk in Delhi-NCR. In May this year also, Mother Dairy raised milk prices by Rs 2 per liter. After Mother Dairy, Amul has also announced an increase in prices. Amul has also decided to increase the price of milk by 2 rupees from today. The company attributed the rise in prices to low milk supply and increased in cost of purchase. The prices of both tokens and poly packs have been increased between Rs 2-3. The price of toned milk has been increased by Rs 3 per liter to Rs 45, while the price of one liter double toned milk has been increased by Rs 3 to Rs 39 instead of Rs 36. The price of cow milk has been increased by Rs 3 per liter to Rs 47. The price of token milk has been increased by Rs 2 to Rs 42 per liter. Talking about the poly pack, the price of full cream milk has been increased by Rs 2 to Rs 55 per liter. The price of half a liter full cream milk has been increased from Rs 27 to Rs 28. Mother Dairy said, "Due to the advance of the monsoon season and other adverse climatic conditions, there has been a drastic reduction in the availability of milk in various states. The effect of adverse weather has led to a huge increase in the prices of animal feed. All these circumstances have affected the payment made to milk producers. Mother Dairy said that from December 15, 2019, it had been forced to increase prices of all types of milk in Delhi-NCR.
