INS Khanderi joined the Indian Navy today. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Navy inducted it into the Navy at a special function in Mumbai. After the induction of INS Khanderi, the strength of the Indian Navy has increased.
During the program in Mumbai Rajnath Singh was speaking after commissioning of India's second Scorpene class submarine INS Khanderi. Rajnath warns Pakistan to be vigilant with this particular submarine, "Pakistan should understand that today with the strong resolve of our government and the improvement in naval capability with a submarine like INS Khanderi, we are capable of giving it a big blow".
"The Indian Navy will take strict action against those who disturb peace in the region,We will leave no stone unturned in order to strengthen the Indian Navy. With its modern weapons, the Navy is not a threat to any peace loving nation,"
"There has been speculation of possibility of another 26/11 type attack on India's west coast. But such plans will not succeed here anymore," Singh said
The name Khanderi is inspired by the dreaded To Sword Tooth Fish, a deadly fish known to hunt while swimming close to the ocean floor.
