The owner of a transport company in Nagpur, Maharashtra, took off his driver's clothes and hung him with a rope and beat him mercilessly. After beating, the driver is in critical condition, who has been admitted to the Government Hospital in Nagpur. The victim is a resident of Kamleshwar who is accused of tampering with the money.
The transporter owner Akhil Pohankar and his partner Amit Thackeray have been arrested by the police. The transporter alleges that he had given advance thirty thousand rupees to the driver Vicky (23) to take the truck to Thiruvananthapuram, but Vicky drank the money and spent it in buying clothes. The transporter owner called the driver several times but he did not pick up. On Thursday, the truck did not leave for Thiruvananthapuram, then on Saturday, the driver told the owner on the phone that his health was poor. The owner then called him to his office.
As soon as the driver reached the office, his arms and legs were tied with rope and he was hanged with a rope. He was then brutally beaten with poles and belts. The owner did not stop, he hanged the driver upside down and then beat him mercilessly. The police have registered a case against several people including owner transporter, Amit Thackeray, Prakash Choure. Wadi police arrested two people and are taking further action.
