The police have filed a case against a man who escaped from police custody in Mumbai. An offence was registered on Thursday against a man who was arrested for cheating a businessman for Rs. 3.7 crore and fled from the crime branch custody, but was later caught, an official said. The case was registered at the Charkop Police Station against the accused, Tarvinder Singh Sabharwal. On Wednesday evening, he was taken to his residence in Kandivali for search operation, where he ran away from police custody, he said. Police got the information that he might be at his sisters residence in Versova, he said. Police reached Versova and arrested him on early hours of Thursday. A complaint was lodged against Sabharwal by crime branch officials at the Charkop Police Station under IPC section 224. An offence was registered on Thursday against a man who was arrested for cheating a businessman for Rs. 3.7 crore and fled from the crime branch custody, but was later caught, an official said.

In Mumbai, which is counted among the safest cities of the country, there has been an increase of 22% rape and 51% molestation cases in the last 4 years. The important point is that 69% of the victims of rape are minors. This was revealed in the report made on the basis of survey of NGO Praja Foundation. POCSO is involved in cases of rape or molestation of minors. NGO founder Nitai Mehta reported on Thursday that under POCSO alone, 69 victims of sexual offenses recorded in 2018-19 were under 6 years old. He claimed that 90% of the culprits in the POCSO case went to the victim's identity. Of these, father, son and brother were accused in 14 cases in the last one year, while in 39 cases, they were sexually abused by family friends. Social media friends raped 284 cases. According to Mehta, 'This is not a law and order problem. It is necessary to take immediate steps at several levels and forums to deal with this matter. The most surprising thing is that when the survey was done in 22,845 houses, the families of many victims did not even file a police complaint. That is why the number of criminal cases is higher than the data recorded in police stations.

A two-month-old baby, who was burnt in a fire on 6 November  in the intensive care unit of KEM Hospital, died on Friday. Prince Rajbhar was severely scorched in the fire and had to cut one of his hands, an official said. He died of a heart attack this morning. He reported that Prince was placed on a ventilator. A physical teacher sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in the school toilet. The complaint was filed in Sinhagad police station and the teacher under police custody.

The school usually have the last period as physical training, the teacher first told the kid that his uniform is not proper, the teacher then took the kid to the toilet, removed his clothes and committed the crime. 

The teacher also threatened the boy and told that if he reveals anything, he will destroy his career. The boy then returned home and looked very disturbed. When his mother tried to feed him he refused to eat anything. 

The boy later told his mother that, he will not go to school from tomorrow and will give the exam as an external student. The victim's parents rushed to the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) city president, he then went to the school and confronted the administration and the PT teacher.

A case under the POCSO act was filed against the PT teacher and the school administration is also running its internal teacher.

A head constable of the Delhi Police has been arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 6000. Delhi Police's head constable Jagdish Jalal has been arrested while taking a bribe from the owner of a shop in Subhash Nagar, Delhi. A senior police officer said that as per the complaint, the head constable Jagdish Jalal called the shopkeeper and his friends to the police station on Sunday and demanded Rs 10,000 from them, and head constable threatening them if they would not give the money will put him behind bars on charges of playing cards.
