Diesel rates are hiked by 16 paise

Delhi: Order To Close Stores That Sell Liquor And Beer

Official sources said the Delhi government had ordered the closure of departmental stores selling liquor and beer from Friday. Sources told on Thursday that the decision was taken after several violations by departmental stores and 125 such outlets in Delhi would be affected. As per the rules, these outlets can only use about 10-15 per cent of the space to sell beer and wine, and the remaining space can be used to sell groceries, a government official not named Should have said.
