Mumbai: Women protest against CAA in Deonar, ‘detained’

Mumbai: Women drivers to get preference in BEST electric buses
Lady drivers will be given preference in the electric buses that the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) is set to employ. BEST, in its agreement for wet-renting 300 electric means of transport under the central government's FAME-2 plan, has asked the administrator to offer inclination to ladies drivers.
BEST on Wednesday gave a nod to wet-renting 140 AC single-decker means of transport and 160 AC minibusses under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME 2) plan of the central government, which will give Rs 45 lakh to the minibusses and Rs 55 lakh for the single-decker transports.
The Rs 1,259-crore contract has been given to Tata to give the transports to a time of 10 years. BEST has guaranteed a business of 4,750 km for the single deckers and 4,200 km for the minibusses every month where the expense of the driver, upkeep and fuel will be borne by the supplier while just a conductor will be given by BEST. BEST will pay an operational expense of Rs 83 for every km for the single deckers and Rs 74 for each km for the minibusses.
A senior BEST authority stated, "The conditions of the agreement are being drafted to be in a state of harmony with NITI Aayog rules. If there are two people for the post of a driver, then priority will be given to women.”
Modi government interfering in affairs of non-BJP state: Sena

Fire broke out in Factory, 1 died
A sudden fire broke out in a factory in Noida on Sunday night. People informed the fire department, on getting the information, six vehicles of the fire department reached the spot and started trying to control the fire.
