FIR registered on 101 people who went to offer prayers in mosque during lockdown
Despite the lockdown due to Coronavirus across the country, people are coming out of there houses. On Thursday, the police have taken action against those who collectively offer prayers in the mosque for violation of the rules in Sandila town. In which FIR has been registered against 101 including Imam.
Giving information about the case, the police officer said that the Imam, who maintains the mosque in a locality, has invited all the people to offer prayers and those people are present in the mosque. The gathering of more than 5 people is prohibited due to the lockdown and enforcement of Section 144 in the entire country.
On receiving the information, when the police reached the spot, it was observed that 100 people were offering namaz ata in addition to the Imam in the mosque. There is a risk of infection if such a large number of people gather together and it is a violation of section 3 of section 188 act 1897. FIR has been registered by Outpost Incharge.
