Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Lucknow, organised a webinar on 'Relevance of Solar Energy in Civil Engineering'.
Amid the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak,the classrooms are suspended in universities.The department of Civil Engineering and the Training and Placement Cell of Faculty of Engineering and Technology of University of Lucknow organised a webinar with the help of Enterprise for Industrial and Corporate Training.In this webinar session,Mr.Rohit Mehrotra on behalf of Enterprise for Industrial and Corporate Training highlighted the relevance of solar energy in the field of civil engineering. Mr.Mehrotra discussed the basic concepts of solar energy and manufacturing processes of different different solar equipments used in day to day life and in military services. Mr. Mehrotra told the students how energy can be produced by utilising the ocean temperature difference between the top and bottom layers of water. This is an indirect method of solar energy production.He told that many research works are continue in this field.The coordinator of Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. R.S Gupta told that we are trying to provide qualitative education to our students during lockdown.The Head of Department of Civil Engineering Er. Jitendra Pratap Singh told that they would be continue to organise such webinar to help the students.The Head of Training and Placement cell, Dr. Himanshu Pandey told that Training and Placement Cell is committed to organise seminars, workshops, webinars etc. to introduce the students with modern industrial requirements and challenges. Er. Gaurav Srivastava said that the students are cooperating well. Er. Kalpana Patel ,Er. Nidhi Srivastava and others are in contact with students through internet and they are providing the directions and guidelines to the students.

Five more corona infected jmatis found
Five more corona concentration jmatis have been found in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district on Tuesday. The police have admitted all of them to the isolation ward after taking them into custody.
It is being told that all these five jmatis also joined the Tablighi Jamaat. After the discovery of these five infected patients, the number of corona infected patients has increased to 46 in the district.
The Health Department has quarantined all the members of their families after the corona report of these five jmatis came positive.
Also, the police has sealed the area in which the five lived, after sanitizing the area. Also, information has been received that so far 2 corona infected patients have been cured in Bijnor.
Police took action against those who violated the lock down
People in Soren Meerut of Lokharan ignored the seriousness of the global pandemic and came out of the house needlessly wandering the streets.
To prevent this, police started checking operations at every main intersection of the city and cut off the challans of a large number of drivers.
On Wednesday, police registered 20 cases against 83 people under Section-188 of the lockdown violation. Out of these, 11 cases have been registered against 51 people.
Apart from this, a challan of one lakh two thousand seven hundred rupees was also charged from the drivers while cutting the challans of 468 vehicles. At the same time, 22 vehicles have also been seized.
RMRC will now be able to conduct 200 corona tests in 24 hours
Gorakhpur BRD Medical College's RMRC will now test 200 samples in 24 hours. New reactants have been sourced from ICMR.
The Medical College Administration and RMRC are currently investigating Corona. Both the institutions have been upgraded and new machines have been installed.
According to the information, the process of investigation in VDRL was extremely difficult and lengthy. The investigation used to be in two stages. Which used to take about nine hours.
Because of this, an average of 80 to 90 tests were being conducted daily at RMRC. At the moment, more than 150 samples are coming every day.

Drones developed for monitoring lockdown, 302 drones have been sent to 12 states
GTU startup Drone Lab has recently developed a technology in which the police department monitors the lockdown breakers. Under this, 302 drones have been dispatched to 12 states so far. Efforts are being made by the government to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
At present, intensive efforts are being made by the government to stop the spread of Coronavirus throughout the country. As such, Nikhil Methia and Kevala Kelavala, founder of Research and Drone Lab of GTU ( Gujarat Technological University ) Startup Innovation Council has sent 302 drones to 12 states of the country including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan through their startup Drone Lab in collaboration with Indian Drone Association. They have supplied 32 drones to the Police Department in 15 districts and tehsils of the state including Ahmedabad.
With the help of this drone, the police department monitors the lockdown breakers. Drones have been allotted in other states including Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan. In this, Indore-2, Jabalpur-3, Dhari-3, Bhopal-2 drones have been ordered by the local administration for monitoring and spraying of medicines. There are currently 1000 drones required in the country and 300 in Gujarat.
Residents of the Shringra Residency came to their balconies and whole society played Antakshari
A unique idea found by the Residents of the Shringra Residency to overcome the tension going on due to the lockdown. In the morning 300 people come in the balcony and play antakshari. Vijay Shah of the Society said all the people of the society come for two hours every day to play antakshari.
Residents of the Shringra Residency of Vesu in the Ahemdabad city have adopted a unique approach to reduce tension during the lockdown. Around 300 people come to their balconies every morning and play Antakshari.

Mieszkańcy Białegostoku zwrócili się z zapytaniem do Prezydenta Tadeusza Truskolaskiego czy samorząd może kupić mieszkańcom maseczki ochronne na czas pandemii koronawirusa. W odpowiedż Prezydent miasta zaznaczył, że w danej chwili niema na to ani pieniędzy, ani możliwości technicznych i organizacyjnych żeby zabiezpieczyć wszystkich mieszkańców tak dużego miasta maseczkami ochronnymi.
Jednak Tadeusz Truskolaski stwierdził, że jeśli rząd przeznaczy na to dotację celową, maseczki zostaną zakupione.
We wtorek (14 kwietnia) prezydent Białegostoku podkreślał, że białostocki magistrat kupił ponad 20 tys. maseczek, które zostały rozdane tym, kto teraz najbardziej potrzebuje tych środków ochronnych, czyli straży miejskiej, policji i szpitalom. Proponowane wyjście dla reszty mieszkańców to zakrywania ust i nosa szalikiem czy chustką albo uszyć maski samodzielnie.
Prezydent mówi, że samorząd miasta teraz pracuję nad tym, jak zwiększyć przychody miasta i dosłucha się do każdej pomyślnej propozycji. The pandemic had caused a greater need for money for the organizations working to help people in such times.
To gather funds, many big stars in world entertainment from New Jersey are coming together for a collective purpose to raise funds for New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF).
NJPRF came up with an idea of JERSEY 4 JERSEY - a one-night fundraiser event to raise funds to fight impacts caused due to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the NJPRF website: "NJPRF will provide grants to existing organizations with a demonstrated track record of caring for vulnerable communities. One hundred percent of every dollar received online by NJPRF will go to organizations that provide essential services to those in need and to assist those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic — so you can be assured that your contribution will have an impact,"
In this special events, some of the biggest celebrities and sportsperson from New Jersey will participate from their home. The list of celebrities includes Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Jon Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock, Saquon Barkley, and many more.
The show will also include some of the present time heroes such as first response teams, medical staff, etc. The NJPRF was announced on March 20 and had already raised an amount of nearly $20 million.
