Amendment Bill : Laathi charge on Muslim protesters
All India Majlis-e-Ittehad ul Muslimeen took out a protest march from Turkmanpur area in protest against NRC and Citizenship Amendment Bill. Seeing the situation out of control, the police took out laathis to frighten the protesters.
On Friday, after Namaz All India Majlis-e-Ittehad ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) took out protest in area against National Register of Citizens of India (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). Police took put out laathis to frighten the protesters. AIMIM District President Md. Islam along with around three hundred supporters gathered in front of the mosque Sultan Khan in Turkmanpur after the prayers. Here Save Citizenship Movement, No NRC, Stop Communal Politics, Do not divide the country in the name of religion, and took placards and went towards the clock tower when a large number of police forces reached.
According to the police, permission was not taken by the administration to take out the procession in the area, due to the non-stop of the protesters, the police took strict action and District President Mo. Islam, Nazim Shahi, Ali Akbar, Masaud Ashraf were detained some people. The police drove away the crowd by lathis. Police took the detained people to the Rajghat police station.
