National education policy is ready...
BTech and MBBS will be able to prepare in the mother tongue, National Education Policy is almost ready
The National Education Policy (NEP) is in the final stages. Many changes are being discussed, but the most discussed is the possibility of graduation courses in the mother tongue. Higher education studies in the mother tongue can become part of the NEP. Sources say that after getting the consent and the implementation of the education policy, courses like BSC, BCom, BTech and MBBS will also be done in the mother tongue.
Members of the panel preparing the education policy, Dr. Ram Shankar Kuril has also confirmed this. According to Dr. Kuril, the process will proceed with the approval of the Cabinet. There is a possibility that the policy will be applicable in the next session. A 480-page draft was prepared by a panel of education experts on which feedback was sought. Then a 55-page final draft was prepared.
The equivalent models of IITs and IIMs for Liberal Education will be public universities. These institutes will be named as Meru (Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities). Accordingly, the minimum degree qualification for teaching by 2030 will be the 4-year Liberal B.Ed. degree. Apart from this, the 2-year degree course will also be offered through those institutions, which will be getting 4-year integrated B.Ed.
