GST Fraud Gang of CA busted...
95 crore fake bills distributed to 26 dummy firms, tax evasion of Rs 17.40 crore
State GST department against the GST fraud gang mastermind CA Gaurav Maheshwari and his partner Jaipur's CA Paritha Jain, who was trying to save tax by giving fake bills to businessmen of many districts and other states of the state Chargesheet introduced. In this investigation so far, it has been revealed that tax evasion of Rs 17.40 crores has been done by issuing fake bills of 95.02 crores from 26 dummy firms. Apart from these two vicious chartered accountants, the department has issued notices to 58 firms, who are suspected of stealing tax by taking fake bills from this gang. These firms are also expected to receive tax of about Rs 6-7 crore to the department.
The team of incharge and investigation officer Bharat Singh Shekhawat, state tax officer Mukesh Garg, Nitin Tiwari and junior state tax officer Prithviraj Paliwal, Paregaram Chaudhary and TA Ankita Chaupra, among others, in the case of theft of crores of GST of 16 crores. On December, Jaipur resident Paridhi Jain and on 18 December Shankar Nagar resident CA Gaurav Maheshwari was arrested. Maheshwari is currently in judicial custody.
