The Other Side My mother enunciated the other day- " Celebrating life is all about embracing the grandiose and oddities that comes our way". Our 'minds' in today's time is under constant strain of acquiring possessions of every kind- material, physical, emotional and what not. Success is alarming in every nook and corners now. But what about the unsuccessful ones? What about the successful fellows who sleep with tons of regrets and frustrations at nights? What about them,) who achieve everything but is without a single near one to share their accomplishments with? The counting goes on and on, but these hidden yet significant stories never gets unmasked as the presentable ones are. Success or collapse is a part and parcel of life and therefore demands fair revelation. The former alone can never beget contentment. It is all about racking up money, fame and self-satisfaction. But happiness may not be twined with it. The contemporary world is crowded with success, its depiction in social media, showing the world the 'happy you' and that's it. But how many of us actually talk about the other side? How many of us halt and share the unsuccessful and silly parts of our lives, that has shaped 'us' into what we are today? How many of us chose to be happy internally and not merely on a specific platform? Few among us actually can flaunt their failures, their mistakes, their dejections infront of others. This is why unsuccessful stories are never discerned until they touch success. The stories of those folks who have tried their best but haven't touched excellence till now demands to be revealed. Are these stories too insignificant to be known? All of us actually have a lot to learn from them as well. There are thousands of inspiring stories of people who burnt their midnight oil and had sleepless nights but couldn't acquire the tag of 'success' because of some incessent hindrances. Their stories would be equally important like the other ones, or perhaps more. The way of soothing themselves at the time of crisis, standing and getting fortified all over again for a healthy start is obviously worth mentioning. The concept of contentment is being joyous from inside irrespective of what is stored in one's plate. Any success is not an end. There's always more to it. There are more roads to explore, paths to tread on, possibilities to peep into. Success itself isn't permanent. Today's success can be tomorrow's failure. What actually matters is how we shape ourselves, taking every sip benevolently and with a true heart. Every stories which can bring a spark of positivity in us ought to be counted. Deepa Sapatnekar, Head of Communications, India, has been quoted saying in a business Standard Report- " while success means many different things to different people, it is heartening to see work-life balance, family time and health over a six-figure salary". Former US President Winston S. Churchill once quoted - "Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm." Life is but a tapestry of everything. Success alone cannot provide essence to it, but happiness and contentment can. In the process, failures should equally be embraced as successes are. A person who have failed multiple times is way more stronger and prepared for future hurdles, that life may impose at anytime. And those who have achieved it, must remember that the clock is still ticking and nothing is permanent. Their concern should be to stick to the current position and being prepared for the worst in the future. Life is fragile. Accepting, embracing and being prepared for whatever comes next is the essence of happiness. Exploring every tale and bringing the best out of everything is what is most needed. The oeuvre of life consists in having a passion for triumph, while embracing and revering fizzles at the same time.
