Farmer's earnings will increase after Budget-2020
For the farmers of 142 villages of Delhi, a major relief has been provided for the general budget of the year 2020-2021. Farmers will earn not only from the crops grown in the fields, but also from the barren and vacant land. This will improve the economic health of the farmers and will also make it easier to achieve the goal of doubling their income by 2022.
Under the provision made in the budget for farmers, barren-vacant land will be used for solar energy. Farmers will also be able to sell it on the grid. This will increase the income of farmers. Kisan credit cards, water, use of organic fertilizers and farming techniques will be improved in the 16 point plan for agriculture, irrigation and fisheries.
Delhi farmers will also get the benefit of adding pump sets to the grid and electricity will be available at a relatively low rate.
Paddy is grown in 142 villages of Delhi, along with canal, including wheat, mustard, cabbage and potatoes. In this budget, provision for solar energy on empty and wastelands is a big gift for the farmers.
