On 3 January in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan, a mob pelted stones at the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara, the holy site of Sikhs, and shouted slogans against the Sikhs. According to the information, hundreds of people surrounded the gurdwara on Friday. The mob was led by the family of Mohammad Hasan, who is accused of forcibly converting Sikh girl Jagjit Kaur to Muslim.
After which a large number of Muslims surrounded Gurudwara Sahib. First he performed outside the main entrance of the Gurdwara Sahib and performed. This was followed by stone pelting at the main entrance of the gurdwara.
On closing the gate, stones were also thrown inside the Gurdwara Sahib. The protesters threatened to rename the city to Ghulam-e-Mustafa. The performance lasted for about four hours. The police, who reached the spot after the incident, have arrested several stone-pelters. After this, Sangat left from there. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.
In protest against this, activists of Bajrang Dal and Durga Vahini demonstrated outside the Pakistani Embassy in Delhi this morning. When the police tried to repel the protesters, both sides clashed.

Free Wi-Fi service in Airport Metro
Delhi Metro has started free Wi-Fi service on the airport line from Thursday. The DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh introduced the free Wi-Fi facility in the metro of the airport line.
The high-speed Wi-Fi facility in the Metro train coach is the first such service in any country in South Asia. Internet will run at a speed of 2 Mbps in the metro coach on the 22.7 km long airport express line.
Such facilities were earlier available in Russia, South Korea and China. High speed Wi-Fi service in India and South Asia is being offered for the first time in Metro coaches.
Free Wi-Fi facility has been started in all the coaches of the metro from Thursday. With this decision of DMRC, passengers traveling in metro will be able to use internet for free from smart phones and laptops.

Body of missing student recovered from drain
The MBA student, who had gone missing from his house in New Ashok Nagar area on 1 January, was missing, whose body has been recovered by the police from a drain in New Ashok Nagar itself. Police suspect that the young man died after falling into a drain.
The deceased has been identified as Alex Kuriakose George (24), originally from Kerala and was studying for an MBA in Delhi. Alex was pursuing his MBA from IP University.
On Friday evening, Alex left for Noida after talking to friends about his friends going to a New Year's party. He did not return home after this. When the family checked with friends, it was found that he had left for home late at night. His mobile was also coming off.
The family registered Alex's disappearance at the New Ashok Nagar police station on 2 January. On Saturday morning, people reported to the police that the body of a youth lying in a drain near the Manavasthali apartment. Police reached the spot and took the body out of the drain and sent it to Morchery. The family later identified the body as Alex.
Patiala House Court sentenced four accused to be hanged in Nirbhaya rape case
Delhi's Patiala House Court has today issued death warrants against the nirbhaya rape case convicts. The court has fixed January 22 for the execution of these accused. Soon the four convicts will be shifted to the death cell of the jail. The death cell is also known as the hanging cell.
The death cell in Tihar Jail, where these accused will be kept till death, will be protected by Tamil Nadu Police. The culprits will be hanged at 7 am on 22 January. Before hanging, the accused will be taken out of the death cell for half an hour under strict security, then they will be sent back to the death cell.
On January 22, the accused will be given food in the morning and then they will be asked their last wish. After asking the last wish, the four accused will be hanged together.
Protest against Donald Trump at Jantar-Mantar
On Sunday, people of the Shia community at Jantar Mantar protested against the US and US President Donald Trump. Two of Iran's commanders, Major General Qasim Sulemani and Abu Mehndi Al Mohandis, were killed in a drone strike by the US, which was followed by demonstrations by angry Shia community members.
A large number of people from the Sia community participated in this demonstration. Mumbai: Man kills self in Sanjay Gandhi National Park
A man apparently ended it all in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park Tuesday morning. Yogesh Yadav (38) was discovered hanging from a tree branch by park authorities.
He was later recognized by his sibling, who is a police constable posted at Kurar police headquarters and had been searching for him since Monday night. A case of accidental death was registered at Kasturba Marg police station.
An authority said Yadav had been jobless for a long time. "His family disclosed to us he was expelled from his job three years back, after which he recorded a legal dispute against his employer. He had slipped into a depression since he was not able to look for some kind of employment and he figured the case wasn't advancing in support of him," said the authority.

BMC finalises contractor to reconstruct ‘extremely dangerous’ Ghatkopar bridge
Seven months after the broken down Laxmi Baug nulla connect in Ghatkopar was closed, the BMC has settled a contractual worker for its remaking.
In May, the metro body had shut the extension following a basic review report that recognized it as one of the 29 bridges in the city that were in “extremely dangerous” condition.
A little transitory iron bridge was built for light vehicles, which was opened in July a year ago.
The civic body, which was attempting to get a contractor for the work, has now finalized one who will reproduce the bridge on one of the most significant connection streets among Andheri and Ghatkopar close Ghatkopar transport terminal.
As indicated by authorities from the Bridges division, the tendering procedure had been going on since September.
"After a work request is given, the contractor should complete the work inside a year and a half. The street sees extremely overwhelming traffic, so we are eying to finish it as soon as possible. The bridge will be built of RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete)," an authority from Bridges division said.
The BMC will spend Rs 23.26 crore on the project.
