NBCC Fined Rs. 5 Lakh Over Dust Emission Delhi
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) on Saturday forced a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the administration run National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) for "carelessness" in checking dust outflow at the site of an under-development World Health Organization building.
As a component of its continuous drive to check dust emanations at building destinations, a DPCC group visited the site of the WHO building, being developed by the NBCC, and found a gigantic amount of development material lying revealed and earth uncovered unpredictably, as per an announcement.
"The DPCC forced a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the NBCC, the occupier of the land at present for completing the development work," it said. The building site is situated at ITO, the busiest crossing point in Delhi. DPCC part secretary Arun Mishra said the NBCC had been careless despite the fact that the whole Delhi-NCR area has been put on high cognizant to anticipate air contamination.
