Indore-New Delhi Intercity Express. Deepak Shukla, a software engineer, was going to Delhi. He was not having a reservation, That’s he was in general coach. At around 6.30 am when the train reached Okhla, some robbers climbed into it. Started looting When he tried to snatch Deepak's mobile, he protested. The robbers threw him off the moving train. Some people stopped the train immediately after pulling the chain. But even after stopping the train, neither the GRP, nor the CRPF escorting nor the guard of the train came on the spot. Some co-passengers took Deepak by auto to Apollo Hospital. Both of the legs of Deepak had to be cut. His family members said that there is no by the railways or Government.
Deepak, a software engineer, is currently admitted in Delhi's Apollo Hospital. He said that after the accident, he sought help from the railway staff standing nearby. But they said - this is not our business. If Co-passengers did not take him to the hospital, He would have lost his life there. After not providing any help on the spot, Railways is not providing any help to them further. Some railway officials came to met him. Instead of helping them they took the train ticket gone.
Deepak's brother Manmohan Shukla told us that now he is being harassed by the Apollo Hospital Administration. After Deepak got first aid, he asked the Apollo people to refer Deepak to AIIMS. But it was not done. Then in the evening, two lakh rupees were demanded by the Apollo Hospital. He said that AIIMS will not have treatment without referral letter. But the Apollo people are also not helping them. So far, 5-6 lakh rupees have been spent in treatment. It is becoming difficult for the family to bear this expense further. And the hospital is making bill upon bill.
