Sanjay Raut who is the editor of Shiv Sena's newspaper "Samana" has taken a jibe at his ally BJP after the declaration of Maharashtra state assembly election.
He posted an Interesting pic of a tiger who is wearing a locket of NCP party symbol with a lotus in his hand, the photo was posted on his twitter account with a caption "Bura Na Mano, Holi Hai".
The post gives a hint that the party may go with NCP and congress to form a government in Maharashtra. Prithviraj Chauhan who is the former Chief minister from Congress has talked about this collaboration on Thursday. He called this collaboration lesser evil and good for the development of Maharashtra.
The Shiva Sena owned Samana newspaper have already written an article on how Shivsena has key power while forming government in Maharashtra.
Future Chief Minister Aditya Thackeray
Posters of 'Aditya Thackeray for CM' have been installed in Vidhan Sabha Worli. It is most obvious that the Shiv Sena is going to bargain with the BJP before forming the government. In this bargain, shiv Sena can also ask for the post of CM.
After the Legislative Assembly results, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said in a press conference, 'I want 50-50 formulas to be implemented with maximum transparency. After all, I also have to run my own party. Shiv Sena contested fewer seats at the behest of BJP. We cannot always compromise. It is a time for celebration, not analysis, but if we look at the results, our strike rate is better. We have won 70 per cent of the seats.
But PM Narendra Modi has asked only Devendra Fadnavis to make CM in Maharashtra. In such a situation, even though the Shiv Sena-BJP has an absolute majority in Maharashtra to form the government, the screw may still be stuck. On the other hand, by praising NCP, Shiv Sena has started pressuring BJP.
In the election results on Thursday, BJP had won 105 seats and Shiv Sena 56 seats. Together the two parties have a total of 161 seats, which is enough to form a government.
The election results have taken everyone by surprise, BJP's number has fallen considerably and it as now given shivsena a chance to bargain more while deciding CM and Important ministerial posts.
BJP's did not get the expected votes this time, they were looking to form a government on their own but failed to cross even 100 seats, This as given chance to Shivsena to ask BJP to implement the 50:50 formula according to which everything will be shared equally.
Shiv sena may seek CM post for 2.5 years and important departments like Revenue, Home and urban development. Amit Shah visited Udhav Thackrey's house and negotiated the seat-sharing upon which Shivsena decided to contest with only 124 seats whereas BJP fought on 164 seats. Shiva sena also has the option of talking with NCP and congress for forming government in Maharashtra.
