Several parameters such as solid and liquid waste management, cleaning activities, energy management were taken into account while making the list of top 50 railway stations in India.
A total of four stations from Karnataka made it to the list it includes Yesvantpur station in Bengaluru, Shimoga station, Mysore and Krishnarajapuram station.
The pink city station of Rajasthan made it to the top by scoring 931.75 out of 1000. From Karnataka, Yesvantapur station scored 867.29 and ranked 30, Shimoga station scored 861.37 and ranked 37, Mysore and Krishnarajapuram station scored 855.50 and 854.49 respectively.
As per the railway ministry, the government is spreading awareness of keeping railway premises clean with several initiatives under Swatch Bharat Misson. Many advertisement are put across stations to educate masses about the importance of cleanliness also dustbins are placed so that passengers use it.

There were unknown people who used to visit the farmer's house at night time, the police started keeping eye on him and found that the farmer was having a drug farm and used to trade it. The police have recovered 2.150 kg of ganja and Rs 34,000 in cash from them.
After the villager's complaint, the police officer in an informal dress visited the village at night and saw that one unknown man was approaching the farmer's house.
It was observed that the farmer collected money from the dealer and weighted something in the plastic bag and given it to the drug dealer. When the dealer was returning back police caught him and arrested both of them. They recovered around 2 Kg of Ganja from them.

The crime branch on Friday arrested G Krishnegowda from his flat located in Yashwantapura. He is being kept in a local police custody for 10 days where police will interrogate him. The police started searching for his man when a city based contracter claimed of him being scammed for Rs 11.6 crore in the period November 2018 to March 2019.
According to the police, the man have scammed 25 other's till date. Shivakumar and Krishnegowda met in a function last year where they became friends. Krishnegowda said that he was doing business of mining equipments and most of his customers are from Africa and USA. He have 343 crore in his bank and if the victim help him he might give some commission to him.
He asked Shivakumar to pay Rs 11 crore so that he can pay all the taxes and the duty charges, He paid to him in several installments. He used to lure the victims by taking them in mercedez and five star hotels.

Bangalore: From Friday, South Western Railway's KSR Bengaluru city-Marikuppam passenger train will be given two dedicated women coaches.
Bangalore Divisional Railway manager Ashok Kumar Verma said, from today BWT-MKP passenger train has been provided with two dedicated ladies coaches, one in front and one in the rear. These are painted with the pink strip. Today the train was escorted by all women RPF shakti team. We will soon work out a similar scheme for all other passenger trains.
Passengers happily welcomed the change in the train. Now passengers are demanding for women coach on the Bengaluru-Hosur passenger train.
As ladies and senior citizens are facing problems in traveling due to overcrowded trains, additional coaches are expected in the Hosur route train like 56242,56513,56514,06591,76523,24.as said by Balaji.
Some passengers requested more train stop at the railway station at Sahakar Nagar,vidyaranyapura.
Bangalore: Only 66 percent of government hospitals in Bengaluru have insulin drugs, whereas in private hospitals and pharmacies they have 93 percent of the available insulin drugs. World Health Organisation (WHO) who kept the target of 80 percent, fails in Bengaluru government hospitals.
Nearly 80 percent of insulin drugs are produced in India, while Non-Indian Companies market 60 percent of them.
Prof Unnikrishnan said the most significant trouble is the prescribing way of insulin medication, due to less availability of the prescribed drug. New Indian companies are less trusted. Foreign companies, on the other hand, are preferred due to the history of reputation.
The study also shows the views of wholesalers, As per them, the consumption of Indian company produced insulin is increasing. However, it still remains insignificant in comparison to foreign companies in terms of market share.
Bangalore: The Eight kilometers stretch links Hosur Road with Sarjapur Road, passing through Kasavanahalli. A resident of Hosa Road has urged the civic body to rename the stretch as Hole Road. BBMP has failed to fix the potholes despite repeated pleas.
The situation worsens with rain as the potholes fill up, making the area look like one big pool of muddy water. This makes it a dangerous commute, especially for those on two-wheelers. Residents along Central Jail Road shuttle between BWSSB and BBMP over road left unrepaired after being dug up for the Cauvery pipeline.
The resident, Shibin Dev, wrote: "It should be renamed to "Hole Road" instead of "Hosa Road," #BBMP gives you roads with beauty (hole) spots as a token of appreciation for paying taxes."
Residents now requested Pothole Raja, an initiative that seeks citizens, involvement in filling up potholes across Bangalore, to address the problem to BBMP.

Bike rider dies in truck and bike collision...
The bike rider died on the spot on Saturday evening in a truck and bike collision. The body of the bike rider stuck in the truck and dragged for about 50 meters.
